In exploring the dark recesses of the internet, there are plenty of other awesome ladies out there, and I'd like to take a post to showcase some of the youtube channels that I've been enjoying. Because seriously, whats nerdier than making a webseries?
ANYWAY...without further ado, check out links to the channels and bits of info under the cut, cause I don't want your computer to blow up due to all of the awesomeness loading up on top of all of the other awesomeness that's already on the main page of the blog. See? That's courtesy. And you're welcome.
Do you know of any other channels or web series that we should check out featuring the ladies of the internet? Shoot me an e-mail and let me know, and we'll post 'em here! ...if we feel like it.
Nah, don't worry, we totally will!
if you're lucky.
On to some videos! Then I'll be going back to playing through Fallout 3 for the first time. I've made my character way too pale, so it looks like one of those creepy ghost babies from The Grudge is roaming around vault 101...oops.
Jenna Marbles
Jenna Marbles, from over in Massachusettes, is a part-time go-go dancer and full time awesome possum. [Lulu note: totally not the opossum from the last post, paired with sweet potatoes and horrible nightmares] Her videos are all hilarious, and while she may look pretty normal and make us goth girls hiss and crawl back into our caves, but she's a total freak and her dogs are named Mr Marbles and Kermit.
My Harto
MyHarto, my new girlfriend, is a New York City transplant from the Bay Area and is a self-described "big ol' homo". Her big claim to fame is the youtube series "My Drunk Kitchen," in which she picks a dish to make and attempts to wing it while finishing off a bottle of whatever she happens to have. As she gets progressively drunker, she gets progressively more funny. Also check out her website, http://hartoandco.com, and her other web videos with the question and answer sessions. Hilarious. Also, I really want pancakes right now.

Happy Slip
"Happy Slip" is the creation of total fox Christine Gambito, and while her channel features some totally awesome covers that she's done and also some general v-logging and such, the funniest videos are her quirky videos regarding her family (primarily, her mother, father, and aunt, Auntie Baby). She plays each character with the attention and accuracy that only a frustrated family member could convey, and the results are hilarious. And by the by, the term "happy slip" comes from something that her mother used to say when she was younger; she would always insist that her daughter wear a half slip under her dresses, but her thick accent made it sound like she was saying "happ eeslip", or "happy slip." This poor girl was later corrected by her classmates, after years of confusion, when they asked if she had a sad slip as well. Ohhhhh, childhood.

CupQuake
[evidently, 'cupquake' is also a brand of something from Victorias Secret, so this was the only picture I could find that was actually the Cupquake in question...but look at her nails!]

Cupquake is a v-logger or whatever you would call it that is actually more on the gamer nerd side. I first stumbled across her when Felix and I were talking about our Idiot Boxes, and while my first example was "Two Best Friends Play...", I had figured there must be other lady gamers out there doing this...and behold, the Cupquake, aka Tiffany Garcia. She hails from...well, from what it looks like, she lives inside of a Minecraft world, and a lot of her youtube videos feature her delightful art as well. Initially, when watching her play through Portal 2, I was competitive and wanted a Thunder Dome match. But now I just want to give her a hug. Here's Cupquake at the E3 convention this year.
Ta-ta for now!
