So, there's the thing about Portal 2. I ended up introducing a LOT of people to Portal via Portal 2 this summer. I lived in a large house (and I mean large, like with 50 or more people), and many of them had never heard of Portal. I played through it, capturing the attention of many. They were smitten from the get-go, and let's be honest, who wouldn't be?
Because I had an audience, I felt really smart when I figured out puzzles quickly, and advanced quickly. It also meant that I got to explore a whole lot less than I would have liked to- they wanted to see puzzle solving, not exploring every nook of a very well rendered and flushed out game world.
Yes, if you've played through Portal 2, you know what I'm trying to say. I'm trying to say that I missed ALL of the Rattmann story. All of it. I saw his little drawings, sure, and I was aware that he existed in the framework of the game, but I pretty much missed everything else pertaining to it. I missed all but the two first dens, and am very sad I did, because they look awesome.
In other big, not Portal news, it looks like the Ender's Game movie is actually a go this time, with stars like Harrison Ford signed on! Yay! Here's hoping they don't fuck it up!

This is pretty amazing. It has a score by the composer for Inception and stars Danielle Rayne as a Chell-type character. I'll preface it by saying it was about a year and a half in the making, so if you've played Portal 2, you'll find yourself saying things like "that's not a portalable surface at all!", "the portal gun is not nor has never been one handed!" and other things to poke holes in the logic/awesomeness of this short. And by that I mean that's what I did.
I'm mostly lazy because I spent last week working (on an amazing play with some amazing people), and beating Portal 2. Yes, I almost cried when the singing happened. No, I don't want to talk about it [now]. Here is a lazy roundup. Some cute, some Futurama and some other stuff, too.

Not only do Miss Felix and I have what some would regard a treat for you in the near future (some might regard it as an assault on all things holy, but...well, its a little of column A, and a little of column B [shout out!]), but I found something super mega awesome-possums today on the intarwebs. Sugar and Vice released these bad boys on their Etsy page; they're acrylic laser-cut Portal-Man earrings. Regrettably I'm an individual with stretched ears (even though they're just a pansy-ass 2G) and therefore cannot partake.... ...So you should go buy them!
We've been very busy finishing our play-though. If we get more than 25 "likes" on our facebook page and over ten followers, we'll totally pre-release the first five minutes of the play through.
